How to Apply
All successful applicants to the FCRR PIRT Program must hold an offer of admission from (or be a currently enrolled student in) one of the "home" departments represented by PIRT faculty. Only PIRT faculty may sponsor a graduate fellow's application to the PIRT program, and only students actively working with PIRT faculty are eligible for the PIRT program.
After reviewing information on this website and associated department websites, prospective students should contact one or more members of the PIRT faculty to ascertain if they are admitting graduate students for the upcoming year and the degree of overlap between the applicant's and PIRT faculty member's research interests.
Depending on the requirements for admission to the individual home departments, applicants may be put forward by PIRT faculty for consideration by the admissions committee to become PIRT fellows. Applicants put forward for consideration as a PIRT fellow who are accepted to the program will be offered acceptance to the program conditional on successful admittance to the graduate program of their home department.
